OBA Championship Recap: 8U
Our youngest Rep players, the 8U team, made their way to Leamington August 23-25 to participate in the OBA Championships and they came home as Finalists!
Starting out on Friday morning, the game was a high-scoring affair, with our Giants coming up just short in a 15-14 loss to the Grimsby Coyotes.
From there, every game was a must-win, and our 8U team took on the challenge, overcoming the Georgina Bulldogs by a score of 11-10.
The team kept the momentum going on Saturday, winning 8-7 over Waterdown, before defeating the Kingsville Knights by a score of 15-5.
In the Finals on Sunday, our Giants went up against the hometown Leamington Lakers. It was an exciting game but, in the end, our Giants came up short with an end score of 7-4.
