Longtime SMBA Volunteer, Jim Macdonald Passes Away.
MacDONALD, James "Jim" Alan - Passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 12, 2021 with family by his side from complications of COVID-19 at the Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington. Mr. Jim MacDonald of Simcoe in his 76th year. 

Loving husband of 50 years to Donna (nee Leask). Devoted father to Christine (Joe), Carolyn (Dan) and Carrie (Mark). Proud Papa to Mackenzie, Maddy, Isabel, Maizy and Mayson. Dear brother of Ruth Long (late Dennis), Paul MacDonald, Mary Jane MacDonald and Scott MacDonald. Dear brother in law of Paul Cross, Mary Anne MacDonald and Bill Leask (Dorothy). Cherished son in law of Kay Leask (late John). Predeceased by siblings Pat Cross and Doug MacDonald, and parents John and Florence MacDonald. Jim will be sadly missed by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Jim was a lifelong coach, participant and supporter of local sports. He was an avid sports enthusiast/fan of all ages and calibers. Jim enjoyed attending dance recitals, music events or any activities involving his grandchildren. As per Jim's wishes cremation has taken place. A private family service with interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe will follow. Arrangements are entrusted to the FERRRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe (519-426-1314).
