SMBA Minor Mosquito Wins Home Tournament
The 8th Annual Minor Mosquito Tournament was held at Lions Park July 15-17 and saw the home team finish as champions!
The Minor Mosquito team rebounded from a tough losing streak in regular season play and started the tournament on Friday night, playing under the lights, in a 13-3 win over Northumberland. Saturday saw the team with a 13-7 win over Welland and a 15-5 win over Grimsby. Moving into the semifinals on Sunday, the team pulled off a tight 10-9 win over Halton Hills, and ended the championship game with a 15-6 win over Waterdown.
