OBA Championship Recap: Juniors
This weekend our Junior team travelled to Listowell to compete in the OBA Championships and came home as Finalists!
Starting on Friday, the team took on Mitchell and battled back and forth throughout, coming out on top with a 6-5 win.
The team carried the momentum into their first game of the day on Saturday, against Kincardine, pulling ahead by a run in the third inning and then adding to it, finishing the game with a 6-3 win before coming up short in their second game of the day, falling 8-4 to Innisfil.
Heading into Sunday, every game was a must-win, and the Juniors took the challenge in stride, coming out with a 3-2 win over Woodslee and a 10-9 win over Innisfil.
In the Finals, our Giants drove in runs in the sixth and seventh innings, but came up short in a 6-3 loss to the Stratford Nationals, ending the game as Finalists.
