This weekend the Junior team headed to Innisfil to compete in the Innisfil A and Under Tournament and came home as Champs!
On Friday the team faced off against London Talons. Although London got on the board first, in the bottom of the third, the Giants responded quickly and continually, collecting seven runs in their 7-1 win.
On Saturday the team took on a pair of Cardinals. Starting the day against one of the hometown teams, Innisfil Cardinals - Harper, the Giants took the game 10-6. Next, the Giants took on the Kincardine Cardinals but fell 6-3.
On Sunday, the Giants faced the Innisfil Cardinals - McGuigan team in the Semis. The team got on the board in the bottom of the first inning and continued to add runs throughout the game, winning 5-0. In the Finals, the Giants had a rematch against the Innisfil Cardinals - Harper and took the game in a dramatic fashion, with a 4-3 walk-off victory.
