It was an exciting weekend for our hosting 11U teams this past weekend, with the 11U T1 team (sponsored by Simcoe Toyota.) finishing the tournament as Champs!
The Giants started the tournament strong on Friday night against the Woodstock Wranglers T2 team, with four runs in the first inning. They matched that for the next three innings, wrapping the game after four with a score of 16-0.
The bats were still hot on Saturday as the team took on Delhi, winning 15-2 after five and a half innings in the morning game. In game two of the day, our Giants had a battle against the Pelham Panthers. Although the Panthers brought in another two runs in the final inning, the early lead allowed our Giants to secure the win, 7-6. In the late afternoon, our Giants proved that three games in one day was no obstacle, as they took the game 19-6 over Kawartha.
Moving onto Championship Sunday, our Giants took on the T1 Woodstock team in the Semis. The Giants started strong with two runs in the first to take the lead and never looked back, winning 8-2. In the Finals, our Giants brought hot bats and their strong defensive game, winning the game 11-0.
