Development Season Details
Submitted By SMBA on Monday, June 22, 2020
Simcoe Minor Baseball Association is pleased to announce that we will be offering a development/training season.

We will be offering this program for the Rookie to Midget levels.

The development program will consist of practices, which will be run by SMBA volunteers, and will focus on the skills needed at each level.

The actual timeline for the start of these practices is still being negotiated and we will advise exact dates once we receive confirmation from Norfolk County on diamond availability.

We are hoping to run this program for at least 8 weeks but could be more depending on how things proceed with provincial protocols.

The cost for this program will be $75.  This will cover diamond time, purchase of baseballs, insurance, as well as purchasing PPE. If you had paid for your registration previously, SMBA will refund the difference.

If you think your child is interested in this program, we ask you to go to and click the registration link.

Even if you have registered in the past, we will need you to register again, as there are waivers which need to be agreed to.

Please register ASAP, as we will need to assign groups for the development training.

A reminder that we will be following all protocols passed down from Baseball Ontario and the government.  This includes the current limit of only having groups of 10 at any diamond.

SMBA is hoping that some exhibition games may be able to be played later in the summer, if the provincial group sizes increase.
